The Departments of Economics and History jointly organised a programme to observe the National Voter's day. Municipal Councilor Sri. Shibu Valappan was the guest of honour. He spoke on the importance of using the franchise and administered the 'voter's oath'

Gold will lead to next recession

Speculative investment in Gold will lead to next recession, argues Adv. Mani Vithayathil, Chairman, KSFE. Delivering the inaugural address of 'Interface', Adv. Mani said the if the present recession could be attributed to speculative investment in real estate, the next recession will occur in ten years due to over speculation in investments in Gold. He opined that "Interface' is a significant attempt as the intersection of the streams of Commerce and Economics could be beneficial to the society.

The selected papers may be published as an edited volume after incorporating suggestions from referees. Only registered participants can present papers.
